Örebro Moot Orientation for the Jessup 2014

You can find more information about the Jessup Moot Court Competition here.

We hereby announce the Örebro Moot orientation for selecting the 2014 team for the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.

We want to invite you to two pre-summer training sessions next week. You will receive a background on the competition and how to prepare written pleadings for the Örebro team selection in proper format, citation, as well as how to research and use the IRAC method.

As this term is drawing to a close there are two options available:

1) to attend two lunch meetings: on May 29 and 30 between 12.05-13.00 (room HSL2) OR

2) to attend one afternoon session on May 30 between 16.30-18.30 (room HSL2)

Students who participate and turn in written pleadings at the beginning of the autumn term will receive training in oral advocacy in preparation for the oral matches that form part of the Örebro team selection. See the summer timeline shown below for all relevant dates. All additional information will be given at the training sessions next week.

1st training May 29-30 at 12.05-13.00

We look forward to seeing you on May 29/30 – a warm welcome both to students who are curious about the moot and to those who have already decided that they hope to be selected for the team!
